Introducing Makwa-Cahill

In 2021, Cahill partnered with Makwa to form Makwa-Cahill, the first nuclear-qualified Indigenous fabrication facility in the Owen Sound, Ontario area. This 26,000-square-foot fabrication facility, supported by the extensive technical capabilities of the Cahill Group, possesses all required nuclear and non-nuclear quality registrations to support pressure and non-pressure boundary fabrication scopes. The opening of the Makwa-Cahill facility represents the start of significant employment, training, and skill development opportunities for local Indigenous peoples. Cahill is proud of our commitment to developing mutually beneficial partnerships with Indigenous communities.
